Runner-up MARS finish at Red Hill Raceway
The Castrol FloRacing Night in America miniseries brought Jason Feger and 48 Super Late Model competitors to Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pa.) on Wednesday afternoon for the fourth round of the rain-plagued tour.
After missing a transfer spot by one car in his heat, Feger advanced into the $20,000-to-win A-Main with a B-Main win. Pinned on the 10th row for the 50-lapper, Jason salvaged a 19th-place outing.
Returning to Illinois on Friday, Jason joined 24 MARS Late Model Championship Series entries at Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Ill.) for the Gary Gerstner Memorial. Rolling off 11th for the feature via fourth-place heat outing, Feger advanced forward eight positions to finish third.
Chasing another $5,000 MARS payday in Saturday’s main event at Red Hill Raceway (Sumner, Ill.), Feger shot to an early race lead before ultimately crossing the line in second in the 40-lap feature.
Jason remains leading the MARS standings and is currently fourth in the Flo Racing Series points race.
