Seventh-place finish in USA Nationals prelim at Cedar Lake
Jason Feger trekked north to Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, Wis.) over the weekend for the 37th running of the World of Outlaws (WoO) Case Late Model Series USA Nationals.
After Mother Nature shifted Thursday’s round of preliminaries to Friday afternoon, Feger raced into the opener early Friday with a runner-up heat showing. Starting the 25-lapper in 12th, Jason climbed five positions to finish seventh.
Later Friday night, Jason backed up a second-place heat finish with a consistent 10th-place run in the final 30-lap, $6,000-to-win preliminary feature.
He also competed in the F.A.N.S Fund Dash where the recorded a fourth-place finish in the 12-lap affair. The 11-car field selected by fans competed for the $2,500 top prize.
Feger’s USA Nationals weekend concluded with an early exit in the rained-shortened 56-lap finale. After bringing out a caution on lap 41 while running 14th, Jason was running 21st at the time of the lap-56 stoppage.
