Feger captures PDC prelim victory at Fairbury Speedway
Unveiling a brand new Freedom Fighter wrap on his Titan Industries No. 25 Late Model, Jason Feger made the short trip to Fairbury (IL) Speedway on Wednesday afternoon for the Castrol FloRacing Night in America-sanctioned One for the Road.
Against a stacked field of 64 Late Models, Jason outran Cade Dillard in his heat race to pick up the eight-lap victory. Gunning for the $20,000 payday in the opener, Feger rolled to a 10th-place finish.
Back at the Illinois oval on Friday as the 14th annual Prairie Dirt Classic weekend got underway, Feger followed up the eighth-fastest qualifying effort in his 39-car group in time trials with a fourth-to-first run in his 25-lap preliminary feature. He soared ahead of Chris Simpson on the eighth circuit and ran away with the $5,000 prelim victory.
Receiving the pole for Saturday night's $50,000-to-win Prairie Dirt Classic finale via the redraw, Jason faded to 13th at the checkers after bringing out a pair of cautions on lap 74 and lap 80.
