Jason Feger cruises to MARS victory at Highland Speedway

A pair of MARS Late Model Championship Series events over the weekend brought Jason Feger and company to Kankakee County Speedway (Kankakee, Ill.) on Friday evening to kick off the doubleheader with the Richard Craven Memorial.

Joining 27 Late Models, Feger clocked in sixth-fastest in his qualifying group aboard his Corrosion Technologies No. 25 Late Model before picking up a heat race win. Gunning for the $5,000 top prize in an eventful feature that saw five lead changes, Jason rallied from the back after a lap-11 right-rear flat to finish sixth.

Nearly pulling off the clean sweep on Saturday at Highland Speedway (Highland, Ill.), Jason backed up the fastest time in his group and third overall with a flag-to-flag victory in his heat and the 40-lap feature. His 24th career MARS win and fifth triumph of the season was worth $5,000. Allen Weisser, Mitch McGrath, Bob Gardner, and Matt Bailey rounded out the Top-5.

Jason is currently tied with Bob Gardner for second in the latest MARS point standings.
