Jason Feger sweeps MARS weekend at Farmer City and FALS
Jason Feger made the short trip to Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.) on Friday afternoon as his Labor Day weekend got off to an early start with the MARS Championship Series.
Drawing 27 Late Models, Feger outran fellow front-row starter Myles Moos in his heat to pick up the eight-lap victory. Locked into the fourth-starting position for the A-Main, Jason took command of the lead on lap 13 and repelled a threatening Shannon Babb in the closing stages of the 40-lap feature to secure his 12th win of the season and 21st career MARS triumph. He earned $5,000 payday ahead of Babb, Ryan Unzicker, McKay Wenger, and Kye Blight.
Repeating with MARS Championship Series on Saturday at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) in the track's Triple Down Shootout, Jason followed up a heat race win with his second victory in as many nights in the main event. He charged ahead of Ryan Unzicker on the 12th circuit and paced the remaining to distance to extend his lead atop the latest series standings. The $5,000 triumph elevated his weekend earnings to $10,000.
Jason holds an 89-point advantage atop the latest MARS Championship Series point standings.
