Jason Feger crowned Week 4 Hell Tour points champ

For a Fourth of July special, Jason Feger followed the DIRTcar Summer Nationals to Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Ill.) on Tuesday afternoon for Illinois’ oval second Hell Tour event.

With a third-place finish in his heat positioning him on the fifth row for the opener, Feger advanced seven spots in the 30-lapper to register a second-place finish.

Scoring another runner-up finish on Thursday, Jason invaded Macon Speedway (Macon, Ill.) where he started the night off by claiming the fast time honors in a field of 37 cars. Starting the $7,500-to-win Herald & Review 100 A-Main in second, Feger lost ground early before clawing back in the second half of the race to place second.

On Friday at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.), Feger followed up a second-place finish in his heat with a sixth-place showing in the 40-lap feature.

For another $10,000-to-win DIRTcar Summer Nationals on Saturday at Highland Speedway (Highland, Ill.), Jason raced his way into the main event with a consolation victory after missing a transfer spot by one car in his heat. Putting on an impressive charge from the ninth row, Feger passed 15 cars in the 40-lap affair to register a second-place finish. He followed Ashton Winger across the line with Mike Harrison rounding out the podium.

The fourth week on tour with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals drew to close on Sunday at Tri-State Speedway (Haubstadt, Ind.) with Feger qualifying for the feature via a third-place finish in his heat. Inching forward two spots, Jason crossed the line in seventh.

Jason earned a $10,000 payday for claiming the Week 4 Hell Tour points title.
